The Digital Workspace is a core service provided by the ICT Division, delivered through a hybrid infrastructure combining on-premises and cloud-based solutions. The ongoing transition to the cloud has already enhanced flexibility, scalability, security, and innovation capacity. Looking ahead, the focus will be on further improving user experience and operational effectiveness through the integration of mobile devices and deployment of advanced cloud services.
To support this evolving environment, ICT Cloud and Digital Workspace Engineers will play a key role in the operation, integration, administration, and continuous improvement of the underlying infrastructure. We are seeking professionals with around five years of experience, who are adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn and grow with emerging technologies and processes. Reporting to the ICT Digital Workspace and Datacenter Lead, and working closely with all IT teams, the successful candidates will contribute to the development and optimisation of EUMETSAT’s digital workspace and its supporting systems.
The ICT Digital Workspace Infrastructure is primarily based on Microsoft technologies (both on-premises and cloud), VMware, and complementary tools that enhance functionality, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.

The initial contract will be of 4 years’ duration, with subsequent 5 year contracts being awarded thereafter, subject to individual performance and organisation requirements. There is no limit to the amount of follow-up contracts a staff member can receive up to the EUMETSAT retirement age of 63 and there are certainly opportunities to establish a long career perspective at EUMETSAT.
This post is graded A2/A3 on the EUMETSAT salary scales. The minimum basic salary for this post is EURO 7340 per month (net of internal tax but excluding pension contribution and insurances) which may be negotiable on the basis of skills and experience. The salary scale provides for increments on the anniversary of taking up employment, and scales are reviewed by the EUMETSAT Council with effect from 1 January each year.
