The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.
The Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE) helps local and national governments unleash the potential of entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promote inclusive and sustainable regions and cities, boost local job creation, and implement sound tourism policies. In CFE, the Tourism Policy and Analysis Unit advises governments on policies to promote sustainable tourism development and tackle key challenges and structural changes that will shape tourism in the years to come. It produces evidence, analysis and standards on a range of tourism related issues at national and sub-national level, carrying out country-specific policy reviews and thematic projects as well as cross-country analysis to provide policy recommendations, advice and implementation support. The Unit serves the Tourism Committee and its Working Party on Tourism Statistics.
CFE’s Tourism Policy and Analysis Unit is looking for one or more dynamic, innovative and motivated Economist(s), or Policy Analyst(s) with a strong economic profile, to carry out economic analysis and policy-oriented work on a range of tourism-related issues. The role involves producing impactful outputs to support evidence based policy making across OECD and partner countries, spanning the entire policy cycle from design to implementation and evaluation.
The selected candidate(s) will work as part of a team, reporting to the Head of the Tourism Policy and Analysis Unit.
