Objective:
The purpose of the assignment is to support the implementation of RWP signed with NCCM and NCW contributing to the scale up of the girls’ empowerment program nationally (27 governorates).
The senior field coordinator will:

Monthly report documenting support provided for steering committee meetings (including follow-up actions) and the support of Dawwie dashboard for activity implementation. A report on the active management of Dawwie’s digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, website, and mobile application) over 30 days, in coordination with UNICEF and partners. The report should highlight key content produced, engagement metrics, coordination efforts, and any improvements to user experience. | 35 | 15% |

Conditions of work:
-The Senior Field Coordinator will work within the framework of the Social and Behavioral Change/Community Engagement (SBC/CE) Section.
-Consultancy will include frequent field visits to the projects’ sites including Upper, Lower and Urban Governorates according to a set plan.
-Monthly reports with progress, challenges, and recommendations are essential part of the deliverables and requested to initiate payments.
-The consultant will be mandated to follow UNICEF codes of conducts.

The consultant should be a resident of Egypt and is expected to possess the following qualifications:
-University degree in development or social sciences or any related field.
-Minimum 5 years of community mobilization experience in Egypt, preferably in the selected governorates, as well as field work, preferably in rural areas.
-Excellent command of Arabic (reading and writing) is a must;
-Strong understanding of UNICEF’s social and behavioral change/community engagement approach is a must;
-Experience working with government counterparts and international organizations.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
