This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Legal Directorate (JU), EU Operations Department (OPS-EU), Italy, Malta, Greece and Cyprus Division (IMGC), Italy Unit (IT) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, an (Associate) Banking and Finance Lawyer – qualified in Italian Law*.
This is a full-time position at grade 4/5 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

The Italy, Malta, Greece, Cyprus Division (IMGC) deals with the legal documentation and legal issues for projects in the following countries: Italy, Malta, Greece and Cyprus. Together with other legal counsels, and under the authority of the Head of Division and Head of Department, the successful candidates will deliver legal support to the operational directorates.
As a Banking and Finance Lawyer, internally referred as a (Associate) Officer Legal Services, you will act under the authority of the Head of Division, in cooperation with the other lawyers of the Unit and will collaborate with all other Divisions in the Legal Department – EU Operations, depending on the project.
You will carry out work related to all of the Division's responsibilities and work independently on financing operations in particular, with relation to projects in Italy. The post may involve a certain amount of travel for negotiations and signatures of legal documentation. You will:
