Hello! AWA is a boutique architecture firmspecializing in educational projects in Southern California, from earlyeducation to university level buildings and facilities. AWA is celebrating 30years in business, originally founded by Jean Amador, AIA in 1991, a SCIARCalumnus.
This position is full-time, currently remote, butwith the future of working in our physical office located in Agoura Hills,settled into the foothills of the Santa Monica mountains.
Applicant’s qualifications ideally include:
» A professional degree in architecture from a NAAB accredited school (we support licensure expenses)
» Three years minimum working in architecture, bonus if practiced with educational projects
» Current residence in LA or Ventura County, capability to visit construction sites
» Joy in organized workflows and works cleanly in Revit
» Joy in learning about building technology, California material and construction techniques, and architectural details
» BIPOC and LGBTQIA enthusiastically encouraged to apply
We pay competitively for excellent and detailoriented work. The full-time position includes health insurance benefits, paidholidays, vacation time, and retirement contributions. Our principals aredirectly active on all projects, creating a compensateing practice fromprogramming and concept design to construction documents, agency approvals andconstruction administration.
